Mission Statement
Our mission is to create a platform where newcomers can learn how to work and thrive in the US through successful immigrant stories.
There are over 45 million immigrants living in the U.S. in 2018, making up 13.7% of the nation’s population. The immigrant population is projected to reach 78 million, representing 88% of population growth by 2065. On average, about 1 million immigrants arrive in the U.S. each year. Successful integration into American society, from social inclusion and economic mobility , will be key in the success of the next generations.
As an immigrant who moved to America with little to no knowledge of the many crucial aspects of life in America, such as the way the education system works, I know an organization like mine would have been extremely helpful to have. I want to help future and current immigrants going through the integration process as I can sympathize with their struggles. My organization featuresinterviews with successful immigrants.These interviews will contain in depth information about the failures, challenges, learnings, and achievements the interviewees have experienced on their path to success. We also aim to raise funds and build partnerships with organizations concerned and invested in our cause. The goal of this organization will be to create ways for immigrants to have the same opportunities as born and raised citizens.
My Story
Get to Know Me
I am an immigrant from Turkey, I moved to the US in 2017. Growing up, we never sought information about how the many systems that make up America function. I aspire to be able to provide more than just the basic information about these systems regardless of the financial status or ethnic background of newcomers.
Hands-on Activitism
Our organization aims to provide aid to organizations that are supporting a similar cause. We will be raising money for charities and nonprofits that help make the integration of immigrants into the United States as smooth as possible. As we grow, we will aim to provide social service opportunities for our partners at non-profit organizations supporting our cause.
Interviews
Our organization will conduct interviews with successful immigrants. These interviews will provide information about how these people have achieved success, how they have failed, and where they have struggled. These interviews will be published in video and/or text format on our organization’s official website.
